They say, "When made exclusively of PET it takes 200 bottles". They probably use recycled thermoplastics. Some industry would throw off on the nature fragments of thermoplastic ... other industry (green) takes them, compress them, process them and you got the material you need to do this kind of thing. So, what I think is, they're using PET bottles with some mixture of other recycled materials. (because he says he spent lots of years testing the right combination of materials).
For those not understanding portuguese. He said that it makes optional the "shock absorber" because the bike itself has already "shock absorbing" behavior/properties.
ah yes, of course. which also subtracts weight from it, if you go mountain biking. they don't come with shifters and gears, but i can see that the frame is already wide enough to accept a nice set of gears. also seems to have a built-in mud guard on the back, too ;p. whomever designed it, put a lot of thought into it. i can really appreciate that.
