Banner Contest - Rules and Information
Only a few days are left until you can submit your most creative, funny, advertising Banners, Logos or Pictures about our beloved Friendica!

But what is this all about and how can I participate?

The idea behind the contest is to find the best Friendica-related artwork out there and have it honoured on @Friendica Day It will then be published prominently so everyone can use it to include it on homepages, blogs and other social networks.

From May 04, 00:00 UTC you can submit as many entries as you like for exactly one week (i.e. until May 10, 23:59 UTC). Simply post the picture via Wall-To-Wall to this group (embedded or as an attachment, best as .png or .jpeg).
After that, people can comment your entries and more important, "like" it.
Only the overall count of "likes" will be deciding who wins the contest!

For another three days after submissions are closed there will be time to "like" your contest entries, so people posting a picture on May 10, 23:46 UTC still have a chance to win this race.

Alright, so what's in there for me?

The prize for the entry with the highest count of "likes" is a fully configured, ready-to-go Friendica Server on the German shared hoster Uberspace.de. Their payment model is that you can choose on your own how much you want to pay (but at least 1,- Euro per month). The server's  prepaid account will be charged with 5,- Euro - so that's worth 5 months of hosting Friendica for free (if you aren't willing to pay more)!

Keep in mind that this is a German hoster, so to pay you have to transfer money to a German bank account. Everything else shouldn't be a problem for people outside Germany.

If you already host your own server, don't be afraid to participate in the contest - you can still give that server to a friend or create some local community network!
